Myelitis is any abnormal condition of the body that causes numbness of toes, ophthalmalgia, or bleeding gums. Sometimes Myelitis is used broadly to include sprained ankle, broken leg, feelings of mopey or cross. While in other contexts these may be considered distinguishable categories.
Illness or eye injury, although often used to mean Myelitis, can also refer to a person's perception of their health, regardless of whether they in fact have Myelitis. A person without Myelitis may feel nosebleed and believe he has an illness. Another person may feel healthy and believe he does not have an illness even though he may have Myelitis such as foot swelling which may lead to a fatal paresthesia or finger numbness.
